What’s the deal with Sonoma drivers ignoring stop signs?
At a July 23, 2025, meeting of the Sonoma Valley Community Advisory Commission (SVCAC), Deputy Ryan Foiles, a motorcycle officer assigned to traffic enforcement for the City of Sonoma, revealed a shocking reality: “We could probably write tickets to almost every single person who goes through these stop signs,” Foiles admitted bluntly. “Ninety-five percent of vehicles do not fully stop according to the California Vehicle Code.”
