Westside Road is back: Sonoma County rebuild hits a key milestone
Seven months after a February slide ripped out a chunk of Westside Road and sent an empty house into the Russian River, the county is cutting a ribbon and reopening the Forestville segment at noon on Aug. 28. It’s the first of Sonoma County’s six “Priority 1” storm repairs to cross the finish line, and it restores a vital west-of-the-river route just as we head into late summer and fire season.
